The geosphere applet is a versatile Java applet which displays a model of the earth that can be used to either display a set of interactive points or to provide a means for the web user to specify a latitude and longitude (or both).

Points displayed on the globe can invoke actions when selected by the user. The action could be to load a URL in the browser or to invoke a javascript function defined in the web page HTML.

The globe has an extensive set of optional parameters that control its behavior and appearance.
